For improving his attitude towards maths.  He is now a lot more confident and is willing to give any challenge a try.

For his tremendous effort in improving his writing since the beginning of the year.  He always listens carefully to advice and is keen to learn new things.

Lucy Taylor Jones

For working very hard since graduating from blackbirds.  She had never taken part in CHIL before but she has got involved and worked very well in her group.

4RS Hazel Camburn For choosing and using different strategies to play about with words and create some interesting and incredibly imaginative headlines.
4RS Matthew Ward For improving his attitude to his learning tremendously.  He understands the value of concentrated attention and how this helps him to improve.

Katie Wild

For working extremely hard during literacy this week.  Her writing is really improving because she is linking all her learning.

7SK Kurt Tozer For his performance in the Highway Man.  He learnt a few sections of the poem and thought about his voice and actions.  He told the story with enthusiasm and the audience commented on his convincing performance.

Deakon England

For being extremely creative, artistic and resilient.  It was a tricky task but Deakon worked methodically and quickly to produce an impressive clay Tudor Rose.
10BK Lacey Oliver For remembering the features of recount and using these to write a very effective opening to her recount of our Gosport trip.
