Star Learners of the Week (7th July 2010)

Molly Hawxwell For using her understanding of EDINGLY to begin sentences when writing her world cup story.  She thought carefully about her choice of sentence starter.

Connor Hedges

For the outstanding effort that he has put into his numeracy this week.  He has had great fun trying to solve a tricky challenge.  He set his work out beautifully and was able to explain the answer to the whole class.

Zoe Turner

For settling into her new school so well and for using what she had learned about right angles to draw shapes that have right angles.

Niall Taylor For displaying brilliant leadership qualities when he worked with diploma students from the Brune Park cluster on the Shakespeare project.
4RS Phoebe Heather For displaying fantastic leadership skills during swimming and a Year 1 mini sports day.  She successfully coordinated different swimming groups, ensuring everyone was ready on time.

Joshua McKee

For being incredibly creative.  He produced a fantastic Roman mosaic.  He looked at the examples provided and remembered his visit to the Roman villa at Butser.

Keelin Alexander-Barron For passing her ultimate tables challenge.  She has worked really hard to pass her multiplications in under the allocated time.

Travis Conning

For being incredibly creative.  He presented his World Cup homework on Spain in a different way to everyone else, making it very interesting to read.  His facts were well researched and informative.

Amelia Cadogan For listening really well during our Limerick lesson.  She applied what she learnt to her own writing of an entertaining Limerick.  She shared her learning with the class.

11LR

Pagan Ballard For writing a very creative limerick which used the correct rhyming scheme and told a story.  She then performed with confidence.
