Kai Sterne

For changing his attitude towards Maths.  He is now a lot more confident and is willing to give any challenge a try.  He always puts 100% effort into his work.

Lee Young

For working really hard in numeracy this week.  He worked hard on his fraction work with Mrs Illingworth and Mrs Fisher and can now find half of lots of different numbers.

Maisie Travers

For working really hard in all numeracy lessons and for her ability to stick at what she is learning so that she gets it right.

3LC Callum Ure and Jordan Ward For working really hard together to multiply and divide numbers by 10 and 100.
4RS Matthew Ward For improving his attitude to learning.  He understands the value of concentrated attention and how this helps him to improve.  He was quick to understand the difference between fact and opinion.

Ellie Cole

For using all her ICT skills during a literacy lesson.  She used the Easi-Speak microphones to record an interview.  Then, she uploaded the file and wrote the conversation in word using speech punctuation.

7SK Taome Rees-Dottin For sending her homework into Blue Peter, which resulted in her earning her second Blue Peter badge.  She worked hard to produce a paragraph on space exploration.

Toby Hall For his enthusiasm for our Tudor topic.  He shared with our group some very interesting facts about the ravens at the Tower of London.  He also produced a fact file of Henry VIII in his own time.

Rhiannon Smith

For her attitude towards maths which has really changed since the beginning of the year.  She is now more confident and perseveres with work, even when she finds it tricky.   She understands that learning is not about getting everything right first time.

Sam Brown For adopting a positive attitude and using his imagination to write a detailed description of a busy football stadium in his practice SATs.
10BK Courtney Davidson For applying her learning in Smarties group into her practice SATs.  Her positive attitude is exemplary resulting in a considerable improvement in Maths.

Gemma Hunt For overcoming adversity and having a positive attitude towards her practice SATs.  She is an inspiration to many.

Harry Eachus

For using his imagination to write an exciting adventure story.  He thought carefully about his choice of vocabulary to make his story interesting and engaging.

Alegria Tracey

For her lovely fruit sketch.  She has worked extremely hard on her oil pastel sketch.  She has thought carefully about the colours and shading to produce a beautiful piece of art.

4RS Lewis Trickett For working really hard during literacy.  He has used fantastic listening skills during guided sessions and produced some excellent work.

Jakob Light

For the outstanding effort he has shown during ICT lessons.  He has been learning how to use Photoshop and used all the taught skills to create an Andy Warhol style picture

Kelsey Barnes

For her enthusiasm towards writing, which has really soared.  During ‘Operation Imagination’ sessions she has worked hard to be creative and improved her writing skills.

Emma Tattersall

For producing an excellent advert for her Monster Chocolate Bar.  She produced a creative, eye-catching poster which really makes you want to buy her product.

 

10BK Jack Jarrold

For using his imagination and putting himself into the shoes of another person.  This resulted in him writing a fantastic piece of work based on the Easter Story.

Katie Little For persevering with her mental maths.  Although she finds maths a challenge, she developed a strategy to work quickly through addition and subtraction questions.

Amelia Bacon

For the outstanding effort she has put into her division work last week.  She has used what she knows about multiplication to help her divide by chunking on a number line.

Joshua Page-Dent

For using his imagination to write a great paragraph which builds up tension and excitement for the reader.  He used fantastic words and sentences.

Alefiya Khedapa

For working really hard when learning to work out division problems with remainders.  She always sets her work out neatly so she can understand what she has done.

4RS Logan Wright For using everything he has been taught about making writing exciting to craft a wonderful mini saga  He thought carefully about how to vary sentences and about the language used.

Jacob Arendse

For making a very diplomatic leader.  During a group work activity he listened to all his team members carefully and valued each contribution, keeping his team motivated.

7SK Phoebe Simmonds For writing a fantastic diary extract on the Battle of Bosworth.  She used her imagination to put herself into the shoes of one of the soldiers.

Mersadies Lewis

For working really hard to learn a times table.  She has worked at school and at home and passed her test on Friday afternoon.

Mersadies Lewis For working hard with Mrs Phillips on her reading.  She has gone up over a year in her reading age.
10BK Catherine Hill For using resources available to her and for meeting her personal target to ensure that her work is always of a high quality.

Pagan Ballard For working hard to improve her reading comprehension, having extra sessions each day.  She is now able to evaluate what she reads and explain her answer fully.

Georgia Browne

For working extremely hard to carry out her own data handling project on monsters.  She collected accurate data and then clearly presented her findings.

Amelia D’Arcy

For really changing as a learner.  She is now not afraid to get things wrong and always gives everything ago.  She will always put her hand up  and loves a good challenge.

Taylor Pickering

For using his creative flair in producing a Victorian decoupage picture frame.  He used great skill in applying the pictures to the frame, giving it a quality finish.

4RS Teagan Voller For using her knowledge of play scripts and the Easter Story to write a fantastic scene with thoughtful dialogue and the correct features.  She edited effectively and improved her writing with extra details.

Luke Squires

For the focused attitude he showed during an art lesson on sketching and proportion.  He listened carefully, following instructions to produce a piece of work to be proud of.

7SK Rhyse Wenban For sitting his Ultimate Tables Challenge and getting them all correct in under 3 minutes!  He used his knowledge of all the multiplication tables to achieve this.

Eden Heath

She wrote a fantastic diary entry based on her experience of the Battle of Bosworth.  She worked hard to edit and improve her writing to make it even better.

For using her planning to write a detailed and persuasive letter to convince Mrs Rich to let monsters attend our school.

10BK Joseph Ward For using what he has learnt in Smarties group to help him with work in class.  He has also helped design a rich mathematical task for others to complete.

Eloise Felstead For using all that she has leant about features of good writing to improve the quality of her writing each lesson.

Erin Tanner

For working extremely hard at improving her writing.  She is always enthusiastic to learn something new and listens carefully to advice that is given to her.

For working really hard in numeracy this week.  He has been using a number line to solve time word problems which he found very tricky.

For persevering with her writing and making a really big effort to use what she has been taught.

4RS Niall Taylor For quickly understanding the idea that foods can be symbolic.  He looked for ways to link ideas about his family to types of food and developed a creative meal.

Katie Jones

For persevering with the grid method.  She worked extremely hard to understand the grid method of multiplication and worked carefully to ensure success.

7SK Leon Trickett For working really well on his own to make a fantastic Space Cam Toy.  He was the only one in class to make 3 parts to his cam toy, he also helped others with their cam toys.

Carwyn Chui

He has really changed as a writer since September.  He is now writing in paragraphs, uses a range of connectives to link ideas and drop-in clauses to add extra detail.

For settling well into her new maths groups and using the test strategies taught to help improve her score on her practice SAT Tests.

10BK Joshua Huckins He has changed his attitude towards writing.  He is now writing in paragraphs and expresses his opinions powerfully.

Gregor Mackinnon He always listens to advice on how to improve his work.  He has responded to his writing targets, which have helped him to produce writing of a very high standard.
